Service 03 · Ongoing CRO Retainer

Improvements that compound every month.

A one-off audit tells you what to fix. An ongoing CRO retainer actually fixes it, tests it, learns from it, and keeps going. Month by month, your store gets meaningfully better at turning visitors into customers.

What is included

A structured program, not random experiments.

Ongoing A/B testing

We build, run, and analyse structured A/B tests on your highest-impact pages. Every test has a clear hypothesis, a control, and a defined success metric.

Monthly research and analysis

We review your analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings each month to identify new opportunities and validate what we have already learned.

Conversion copywriting

We test messaging, headlines, and product descriptions alongside layout changes. Copy is often the highest-leverage lever in CRO and most teams undertest it.

UX and design iterations

We design and implement test variants in-house. No waiting on an external design team. We move fast and keep the feedback loop tight.

Development and implementation

Winning tests go live quickly. Our in-house development means there is no hand-off delay between a test winner and a production deployment.

Monthly reporting

You get a clear monthly report covering what we tested, what we learned, what shipped, and what is coming next. No fluff, no vanity metrics.

Our process

A cycle that gets sharper every month.

01

Research

We start each month by reviewing new analytics data, heatmaps, and any learnings from previous tests. This shapes the next round of hypotheses.

02

Hypothesis and design

We turn research findings into specific, testable hypotheses with clear success metrics. Variants are designed and reviewed before development starts.

03

Build and launch

We build the test variants and QA them across devices. Tests launch with proper traffic splits and statistical monitoring from day one.

04

Analyze and ship

Once a test reaches significance, we analyse the results, document the learning, and ship the winner to production. The cycle then repeats.

Is this right for you

Who the ongoing retainer is built for.

Good fit

  • You have a Shopify store with steady traffic and want to improve conversion rate over time
  • You have completed an audit and have a testing roadmap ready to work through
  • You want an in-house team running tests rather than managing it internally
  • You understand that CRO is a sustained program, not a one-off fix
  • You want clear monthly reporting on what is being tested and what has shipped

Not a fit

  • Your store is new or has low traffic. There is not enough volume for reliable A/B tests
  • You are looking for a one-time project rather than an ongoing engagement
  • You want to run your own tests and just need occasional advice
  • You are not in a position to implement winning test results promptly

FAQ

Common questions
about ongoing CRO.

We recommend thinking in quarters rather than months. A single test cycle takes three to six weeks from hypothesis to result. Over a quarter you will typically run two to four tests and start to see a clear pattern of learnings building on each other. That compounding effect is where the real value comes from.
It depends on your traffic volume and the complexity of what we are testing. For most stores, one to two well-structured tests per month is the right pace. Running more tests with insufficient traffic leads to inconclusive results, which wastes time and money.
Until they reach statistical significance, which depends on your traffic and conversion rate. We never call a test early. A test that has not run long enough produces unreliable data, and acting on unreliable data is worse than not testing at all.
That is still a useful result. A null result tells us the hypothesis was wrong, which is information we can use to form a better one next time. Not every test will produce a winner, and any program that claims otherwise is not being honest about how CRO works.
It is strongly recommended. An ongoing program without a structured research base is just guessing. If you do not have an audit, we will do a focused one as part of onboarding before we start testing.
Yes. Higher traffic allows for faster test cycles and the ability to run multivariate tests rather than simple A/B splits. If your store has significant volume, we can discuss a more intensive testing program during the discovery call.
