Instead of spending more on ads to grow revenue, CRO focuses on getting more value from the traffic you already have. Even a small lift in conversion rate can significantly increase monthly revenue without any increase in ad spend.
The average Shopify conversion rate is typically between 1.5% and 3.5%, though this varies significantly by industry, price point, and traffic source. More important than the benchmark is your own baseline. A good audit will tell you where you stand and what a realistic improvement target looks like for your specific store.
Our CRO audit typically takes two to three days from kickoff to delivery. This includes pulling and validating your analytics data, analysing session recordings and heatmaps, and synthesising everything into a clear, prioritised document.
Both have their place. An audit is the right starting point. You need to understand where you are before you can improve it. Ongoing CRO programs make sense once you have a testing roadmap in place and want to systematically work through it month by month. Many clients start with an audit and move into an ongoing retainer once they see how structured testing works.
Access to your GA4 account, your Shopify analytics, and any session recording or heatmap tools you already have running. If you do not have these set up, we will flag it early. Good data is a prerequisite for good CRO work.
We work exclusively with Shopify and Shopify Plus stores. There is no minimum revenue requirement, but we do need enough traffic to make the data meaningful. As a rough guide, stores with fewer than 1,000 monthly sessions will have limited data to work with. We will let you know during the discovery call if that is the case.
